COTS  VACUUM COATING TOOL

A semiconductor original equipment manufacturer was looking to rotate a fixture over a fixed distance at ultra precise speed. Their previous solutions involved parts from six different suppliers and required a good deal of valuable space in their control cabinet. In-Position Technologies approached the OEM with the value proposition  of reducing their suppliers  to one, their part count to one, and their control space to zero. We did this by integrating a fail safe brake, a low backlash planetary gear drive, an intelligent motor and a custom program into one off-the-shelf assembly. Now their system is delivered in 4 weeks instead of 14 and requires only  24VDC to get motion. And yes, we lowered their parts costs too. As you might expect,  the customer is very happy.
